The Pre-Sequel is something I enjoyed when it came out but replayed it last year and uhh. The complete edition also has an absolutely sickening amount of content and the DLC's outside of Hammerlock's is fantastic, especially the Tiny Tina one. The story and wackiness is turned up to 11, some of it is a miss, but its still mostly a hit I'd say. Still, by todays standards its not amazing, but its fine. Also the more you play the better the gameplay gets, it still has some of that classic RPG gameplay style.īL2 is a big improvement mechanically, feels much more like a propr shooter. I still think it has the best atmosphere. BL1 is a bit simplistic compard to the later instalments in terms of gameplay and story but there is a charm to that. I see certain versions of Borderlands 3 and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on sale right now on the PlayStation store, so it peaked my interest. I’m also quite confused by the different versions of the games - I see Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Borderlands Legendary Edition all on the PlayStation store, from what I can tell Borderlands Game of the Year Edition is just the original game, The Handsome Collection is Borderlands 2 + The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands Legendary Edition is all three of those, but is there anything else different between each? I‘ve never played a loot shooter before but I enjoyed Diablo III and Destiny 2, so I figure it’s somewhat similar to those? I don’t know if it makes any sense to do so now and to play through them, and if they still hold up In 2021. I’m really trying to decide whether or not I want to jump into the Borderlands series, but I don’t know if the older games still hold up well or if I should just jump into Borderlands 3 instead? I’ve actually been intrigued by the series since the original came out but I never ended up jumping on them. I was trying to search up a similar topic but wasn’t able to find anything, so I figured I’d make a thread.
